I remember the first book I’ve read (aside from my fairy tales) in Grade I, MONA. Its about a cow that was trapped in the MUD. I can’t recall the rest of the story. What I remember is we were asked to read it aloud in front of the class like, "Mooh,Moooh",said Mona."Oh no. I’m going to get help Mona"!said the bird. How simple and innocent then but reading that was like a burden and the most challenging thing in life.T..hh.eee cc..ooo..www…the cow.

These series of My Book Talks will be my crazy and serious say about anything with the book I’ve read. The author, a scene, the place and whatever I feel like blogging.

Just a starter:

Dan Brown, A freshly baked writer in today’s cyber oven. Fast paced, page turner and easy read concept made him a hit. Creates his pieces making sure you can’t put it down.
Absolutely entertaining but must keep in mind, its a fiction. The Da Vinci Code in particular. I give it a 9(1-10 scale). Maybe I’m one of the first readers before it became a stunner with the media and all. I finished it in a snap down to his other 3 books less than a week. then it took a month before I opened other’s books.
An exaggeration of Dan Brown’s effect - page turner to me and a wrecker for traditional authors. His sensational book mutated like the mutation of CSI eg. Da Vinci Decoded by Michael J. Gelb.  Then the "sudden" Leonardo Da Vinci came to life and someone I know became his apprentice (joke but half true).
Why him first with My Book Talks? Its catching up with the last piece of the cake after the stir he made. And, for sure almost all here had a taste.
